Marty doesn’t consider himself as politician. In fact, for the better part of the last 25 years he never even considered running for office. Marty was content to run my insurance agency, and later manage my laundromat, and pursue the American dream. However, as he saw government encroaching further and further on the rights of the taxpayer, he decided he had to do something.
In 2006, Marty was elected to the Michigan State House of Representatives after briefly serving on the Oakland County Commission. As a State Representative, He did voted to repeal the Michigan Business Tax, cosponsored legislation for a part-time legislature, and sponsored legislation to force the Michigan Department of Treasury to divest from Iran along with many other achievements.
He and his wife Lori and live in Troy and have been active in the community including: the Kiwanis Club, the Rotary Club, Troy Community Coalition, Boys & Girls Club, and Deaf Community Advocacy Network.
