(Troy, MICHIGAN) – The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) and Oakland County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson hosted a complimentary after work soiree to  search for the best of the best of the OC young professionals on June 13th at upscale, nu-Asian restaurant, Mon Jin Lau. This revelation  marked yet another one of Brook’s avant-garde incentives to reach out to the young movers and shakers of Oakland County.  The hot pursuit will continue with related events planned for the rest of the year.  Over 200 attendees mixed and mingled in the tropic room and on the patio on a beautiful, dry sunny day discussing the issues of Oakland County, Michigan as a whole and the upcoming Presidential election in 2012.

Brook’s intent is to honor 40 young Oakland County professionals and executive leaders who have achieved success and excellence in their field before the age of 40.  His purpose is to seek people who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, initiative and dedication in pursuing their careers, as well as in their communities.  The after-work party proved successful as many met the high-standards and criteria that Brook’s cherishes.

The best of the best of the ‘fab forty’ will introduce Brooks at his 2012 State of the County address and receive a year long pass to all of Brooks’ 2012 fundraising events. Second place will receive passes to Brooks’ 2012 black tie birthday celebration, 2012 St. Patrick’s Day party and 2012 golf outing.  Third, fourth and fifth place will receive passes to Brooks’ 2012 black tie birthday celebration. All chosen as Brook’s Elite Forty Under 40 will be recognized and invited to attend Brooks’ 2012 State of the County address.  In addition, they will be featured on lbrookspatterson.com.
